Presidential Primary Results

Whereas, it is a Democratic Party principle that each Democratic voter’s vote should have equal weight;

Then, at the senatorial district convention, you will need to get a majority of the Resolutions Committee to vote for it in order to get it voted on by the whole senatorial district convention. At the state convention, there are two ways it could get to the floor for a vote. Resolutions having to do with Party rules, go to the Rules Committee, so if the rules committee approves it, then it will be part of the proposed rule changes that go to the floor for approval. It can also reach the floor through a minority report of the Rules Committee. It requires I think 20 percent of the Rules Committee to vote for a minority report. We can also get it to the floor for a vote by getting 30 percent of the total number of delegates to sign a petition for it, like we did in 2008 before it got tabled.
